My work on SKY NEWS

After a phone call from a friend of mine I was alerted to a video on the SKY NEWS network which featured my old MD of Pier Publishing. The story aptly named 'Man's lifelong dream robbed by recession', tells the story of the magazine he tried to create which was ultimately destroyed by the current recession. I was the designer of the magazine and all other design elements and was proud to see my cover designs still on the wall and promotional materials on the 'power table'.

Car crash, tilt shift and more!

Before I begin have you checked out tilt-shifting? It's a nifty trick you can do if you can afford the £1,250 price tag for a lense, or you can be cheap and economical in this downturn and turn your hand to photoshop. Just check out this tutorial on how and you could produce something like the one above!

It's been a hectic two weeks:
Got crashed into by a TAXI,
Been designing a few banners, flyers, marketing brochures,etc,
Created a few web scamps for some free work I'm doing in the voluntary sector,
Bought two great books: Wandering off into space by Chuck Anderson and Seven Hundred Penguins

Currenlty I'm not feeling too bad as I recieved a call letting me know that my poorly car is not going to be crushed, but kept alive and fixed - WOOO!

In the next few weeks I plan on having my own book published called 'Anonymous', based on the branding for my free magazine, I'll keep you posted on this!
